Time, in
general, has a few problems to address: Time to be
changed, Time to be fed, But as
childhood took flight, Time to eat
cabbage with my meals, Time to
remove trusty training wheels, "Just wait until your Father gets home.", My Mom would often say. And would
stupid Christmas never come? Time to take out the garbage, (with cabbage hidden deep inside). Time to face
the bullies, I would run
from the bus for Cartoon Time, As a teen, Time was mean: Time for
pimples, Time to ask
her for a date. As the Class
Clown, I maintained a "C". Time for
decisions, Time to become a man. As an Adult, Time is my Boss: Time to work. If I could
control anything from my past, For as we
progress thru Time and with age, So make the
most of your Time, For before
you know it, And what was accomplished with all of that Time? Was your extremely short life sublime or divine? Did you take Time to do what mattered the most? There's still time. |
